Throw in a crockpot:
12 cups of cut, sliced, peeled apples 2 cups of maple syrup 1/3 cup of water 2 table spoons of apple cider vinegar 2 tsp of cinnamon plus 2 sticks 1 tsp nutmeg Dash of sea salt Dash of vanilla Cook on high for 5 to 6 hours then take a potato masher and mash everything down and remove the cinnamon sticks. Ladle into prepared canning jars and process 420 minutes in a hot water bath or steam canner. Or if you choose to freeze it you can do that instead of canning! Enjoy on some delicious bread, pancakes, waffles or just feed it to your children plain! Joanie

Here is my kids favorite breakfast!
1 medium pot of oats while cooking Add in: 1/4 cup of maple syrup 1/4 cup of raw cocoa powder 1/4 cup of almond butter Stir and serve! !! There is nothing more delicious than fresh bread! I use my Electrolux mixer for the mixing portion of it.
INGREDIENTS: Makes 2 Loaves 2 and 3⁄4 cups hot water 100° 1⁄3 cup oliveoil 1⁄4 cup honey or maple syrup 7 1/2 cups of fresh ground kamut or spelt flour (or wheat) 2 tbs of flax meal 1 1/2 tablespoons of sea salt 2 1/2 tablespoons dry active yeast Directions: important! My technique is to add all of the ingredients into my mixer except you leave out half of the flour and leave out the salt in the first mix. Start with adding your yeast and your water together in the mixer and let it bubble up for 5 minutes-then add in your honey or maple syrup. Next add in the rest of the ingredients and mix. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour or until doubled in bulk. Then after 1 hour add the other half of your flour and your salt. Mix well and let this rest for another hour or until doubled in bulk. Take it out and knead each bread loaf until soft and silky but do not over knead. Put your loaves in an oiled pan and let rest and rise until tipping the top of the pan. Bake at 350 till golden brown on top. I butter the tops of the hot Loaves for softness. Enjoy with grass fed butter! The health benefits 1. Hair, skin and nails. The collagen and gelatin in bone broth supports hair growth, skin regeneration and assists in keeping your nails strong. 2. Gut health. The gelatin in bone broth protects and heals the mucosal lining of the digestive tract and assists the digestion of nutrients. 3. Bone growth and repair. The calcium, magnesium and phosphorus in bone broth helps our bones to grow and repair. 4. Infection fighting & recuperation from illness. Homemade bone broth is excellent for speeding healing and recuperation from sickness. 5. Reduces inflammation. The glucosamine in bone broth can actually stimulate the growth of new collagen, repair damaged joints and reduce pain and inflammation. 6. Promotes relaxation. The amino acid glycine found in bone broth can be very calming, a great preparation pre-sleep. My bone broth recipe A whole chicken carcass or bones of choice 4 carrots, roughly chopped 4 celery stalks, roughly chopped 4 cloves garlic, peeled 3 onions, quartered 1/4 cup maple syrup 1/2 cup raw apple cider vinegar 1 small bunch parsley or herbs Dash of sea salt If I am short on time I simply just cook my bones with no spices or veggies above and a dash of apple cider vinegar. Throw out all in a crockpot and full water to the top. Cook all day for 6-8 hours on low. Or put I'm a large crock pot and cook on low all day on the stove or on your wood stove. Remove from heat and allow the pot to cool completely. Remove the bones and, using a colander, drain the liquid broth into a large stainless steel bowl. Discard bones and vegetables. Carefully place the bowl of broth into the fridge to cool, allowing the fat to solidify on the top. Discard the fat or if you choose, you may use it for cooking. Can in quart jars or freeze. Use ice cube trays as well for small uses. Ways to use broth- 1. As a hot Drinking at night before bed will coat your gastrointestinal tract and digestion at night. A mug before sleep has a calming and relaxing effect - add cinnamon or ginger. 2. Use in 'grains', rice or quinoa Bone broth adds flavour and protein and most importantly digestibility to your grains. 3. To cook vegetables, prepare soups and use in pasta. 4.
